Epson's OPOS system is outdated and undoubtedly a total pain but anything OPOS-compatible generally works despite installation issues. These printers are not OPOS compatible and require rescripting of software to the point where it's just easier to buy the Epson TM equivalent. It's a shame since the POS-X touchscreens are great but from a development standpoint these are not the way to go. As printers, they work just as well as the Epson models so if you're writing software from scratch it may not be such an issue, depending upon the other components you're using.
