I just received these and assembly was easy, just putting the seats on with 4 screws each. The seats are padded and fairly comfortable, the chairs are very solidly built and expensive looking. The design is beautiful and the best I found in any price range -- I searched Google images to see all Chrome and leather dining chairs before I bought them. One very attractive feature is that the legs are elongated oval shaped heavy chrome tubes, not the cheap thin round chrome tubes generally used, and it adds a more solid presence to the chair that would not be there with round tubes. I have also ordered 2 arm chairs that I have not yet received, but after I received these side chairs and inspected them, I ordered 2 bar chairs to match. Amazon's price was lower than all but one online source, but I know I can trust Amazon if there is any problem and get much faster delivery with Prime, so I bought here. I have not yet received the arm chairs or the bar chairs, and will post reviews on them when I do. Overall they are very attractive and a great bargain. I had been using very expensive Knoll conference room arm chairs with casters that were 20 years old and covered with leather back, arms and front and they wanted $1,000 apiece to replace the leather -- which was a very fine grade of Italian leather that unfortunately does not wear well. I was able to buy 6 of these for less than the cost of replacing the leather on one of my former chairs. These are not the same quality of real leather, but I believe they will be much more durable and still look very good.PS One thing that would really improve these chairs is to change the rubber/plastic slides on the bottom of the legs as they do not slide easily -- but I cured that by adding the Waxman super slides and amazingly they now glide effortlessly.
