It's now the end of August and I absolutely love this desk. The pieces that were off a bit have proven inconsequential. VERY SOLID.

This desk is real solid and comfortable to work at; unfortunately, a couple of the pieces weren't cut exactly as they should have been so there are two places on the assembled desk that are off a little. Minus 1 point for the printed instructions.

This is a specialist bag, sold for a projector and laptop ... but I bought it so I could separate a change of clothes from my laptop and papers. The 'projector' compartment has a thick but removable padding/liner. That lining is perfect to protect fragile contents but it's fixed with Velcro and easily removed. That leaves a 15 x13 x 4" space - big enough for a pair of shoes plus shirt, spare pants etc. The top compartment (16 x 13 x 3") holds my laptop and a couple of files. The third zip-closed slot on the outside of the bag holds a charger, papers, magazine, pens etc. Finally, there's a zippered slot - good for keys and loose change at the airport scanner. This Gator is solidly built with tough wheels and zippers, and a nice rigid handle that's comfortable for me (6'1"). It's not cheap (hence 4 stars) but appears well-made from high quality materials.

I purchased this system to replace our old telephones - I wanted:
1) A phone system that would NOT mess with my internet router
2) An easy-to-use system with at least 4 cordless phones and an answering machine.
3) Since we only have two phone outlets in the house, I wanted the phones to have mobile handsets with a base.

In this compact system I got these and much more ...

The most WONDERFUL part is the fact that you program (up to 50) numbers into any of the phones and ALL of the phones can access them from a common address book! So even though I have 5 handsets, I only had to put the numbers in ONCE!

It has 9 groups, so you can assign ringers to 9 groups. I chose family as one group, and all of them now have the same ringer. Friends are in another group ... I also have a special friend and she is "her own group" with her own ringer.

Besides the specialized ring, the phone announces who is calling! If you have caller ID, it will say the name, or even if you don't, it says any name that is programmed in.

Any time you are "close" to a base, it goes into "eco mode" and lowers the signal (and saves the battery) and if you are further away, it will automatically "boost" the signal for you.

With the 5 handsets, I put one in the basement, so we can easily use the intercom - and not run up and down stairs. It allows you to put in a "name" for each handset, so you don't have to guess who you are "beeping." This is also handy for looking for a specific handset.

The base set has a speaker phone, so if you are there and someone has "borrowed" the handset and the phone rings, you can still grab it without going anywhere else.

The ringer for each phone may be turned off individually or you can put the phones on Silent mode ... setting a beginning and ending time. Or, on the opposite spectrum, you can also program the alarm, either one time or every day at the same time, on each individual handset.

The phone has a remote access, so you can access your messages from another phone.

AND - this phone even has call blocking ... you put in the number of that person who hassles you all of the time.

At the same time, the instructions make it easy to program, AND once it is programmed it is easy to use.

This one is so awesome here at home, I am considering upgrading the one at work to match ...
