I think we got this for a little less than it is now, but still for under two hundred it's a great deal. It's been working well for over a year... upwards of around 100K pages with no trouble at all. I just wish we could get a good deal on some 1500-sheet trays for their newer 4000 series printers... they're about 3x the price.

First of all it is purple. Second, one of the rings has a gap so the paper catches. Third, it said it contained current year diary. I was very surprised to open it and find the last quarter of this year plus the diary for the coming year. I love the vertical column week, it is so awesome! I purchased this pen as a gift for my niece, who's graduating from graduate school. I thought that it would be an appropriate gift for someone embarking on a new career in Psychology, as she'll be in constant need of a quality pen when taking notes while seeing patients. While I would never spend this much on a pen for myself, I have to admit that after taking a look at it, it's truly a piece of art.

The pen comes enclosed in a gorgeous leather box. Inside the box, there's another case, a cleaning cloth, and an extra pen refill. I didn't want to write with the pen, as it's a gift, however upon holding it, you can immediately feel that this is a pen that's well above your ordinary offering. Each pen is limited to just 500 pieces per style, thus making the one that you purchase, truly unique. The Mother-of-Pearl design is simply breathtaking and in a class of its own. When you hold the pen, you'll notice the glowing iridescent natural white Mother-of-Pearl taking on different colors as the light reflects off of it at changing angles.

I do not normally write a review of the products I purchased on-line but I felt compelled to do so because I found a review by another user complaining of the slow scanning speed totally unfair. I bought this printer mainly for scanning and wireless b/w printing functions. It has worked very well as expected since I purchased it one year ago. All PC (windows, apple)in my homeoffice are now connected to this printer wirelessly and print well. It can scan a multi-page document (both one- or two-sided) and send it to a usb port (a very nice feature) and I rate the scanning speed somewhere between acceptable and fast. The only problem was I could not figure out the way to send a scanned document directly to e-mail or to a PC. But I never came across any other problems. Considering the price I paid, this is something I can recommend for home-office users who do not need color printing function.
