I purchased this as a secondary layer of protection for a safe. I have tested it extensively. In all, it works just as described. Initially, I was worried that it might be too sensitive. It alerted me (via text and email, you have the choice) that movement was detected, which indicated movement other than the safe door opening (for example, like someone trying to rock the safe back and forth). However, after several more attempts, it appeared to be appropriately sensitive (i.e., no more alerts for a simple bump, but giving alerts after a deliberate attempt -- with my shoulder -- to make the safe move). The alerts are almost (but not quite) instantaneous. Certainly quick enough (probably within 5 to 10 seconds) to allow me the notice needed to take appropriate action.

Setup took a little more effort than I had expected, but not difficult (just longer -- maybe 25 minutes) than I had expected. Once set up, it has worked perfectly. In addition, it gives me a weekly notice of the number of alerts, temperature inside the safe, and the humidity level inside the safe.

Overall, I highly recommend it. As a second level of protection, it is well worth the price and monthly monitoring fee.
