I didnt want a Key or PBX system for my office... at most we will just have 8 phones and 3 lines. I wanted auto-attendant for future use, answering machine, intercom, speakerphone, music on hold, and decent looks.

Pros:
+Looks good
+Answering system works well
+Intercom system works well
+Call privacy
+Station naming
+Shared common phone directory
+easy to read, tiltable screen
+battery backup w/ 3 AA's lets you make calls on Line 1 without power. all other features are disabled, but you can make an emergency call. If you have digital phone with a modem like from Time Warner, you will need to put that modem on a battery backup as well.

Cons:
-cumbersome to go through the menus for setup
-speakerphone volume is good, but outgoing quality is TERRIBLE People on the other end always tell me they can hardly hear me so I end up having to pick up the phone.
-intercom ring/tone cant be changed, and its annoying
-Music on hold requires an add on module that I purchased, and the music quality is AWFUL. I have an iPod nano streaming classical music and its pretty static-y on and off... sometimes its good, most times is poor.

All in all a mediocre phone, but there are not many 4 line non-key phones out there, and the rest suffer other problems. the RCA units dont do duplex speakerphone (then again i cant use it on this one anyways), and the auto attendants on others are supposedly bad (then again, i dont use it on here yet).

I bought mine on ebay for cheap so if I decided to change to the X-Blue system I wont be out too much.
