I really want to love this chair. Was looking for a good office chair and I dont like the swivel type. Took a chance on this with no reviews and in all it is a good chair minus some drawbacks. I have two reservations with this product, lateral stability longterm and fitment.

First, the frame does not connect across the two sides. It relies on the structural stability of the seat and back as bracing. Lateral twisting was giving me some loose screws in within a few days with the first unit I had and had tightened it a few times. Hopefully this will not cause a problem down the road with the brace screw retainers pulling out of the wood. The second unit does not seem to have as much problems as the first.

There are issues with fitment of the unit. The rear bolt mounts on the back brace are drilled incorrectly (both spacing 2", hole spacing 1 1/2 and 1 3/4"). Because of the alignment issues, the first unit shipped actually pulled the bolt brace out of the wood. They are NOT designed for that type of oblique load. The supplier replaced it promptly with a new one and I found that the measurements of the holes were the same with the second unit. It appears that the manufacturer had a problem with the jig during manufactuing. I was able to "make it work" but I am concerned about whether or not the unit will hold up without the same issue of the back tearing out. I really liked the chair as far as comfort and looks so I opted to keep it with a close eye on the warranty period.

As of now I would recommend it as long as you pay attention to those two concerns. I love it as an office chair, I just hope it holds up.
