I have a space in my dining room that is too narrow for conventional bookcases, but the Legare Cottage Bookcase fits the space perfectly.

No tools are needed for assembly, since there are no screws or nails. You just fit each piece to another piece, like a simple puzzle.

Please note that when linking the shelves, the shortest one goes on the bottom.

The pieces are very heavy, and although I managed to put it together by myself, it's better to have 2 people for the task. It took me about 20 minutes from start to finish.

An added bonus with this bookcase: everything has a profile, even inanimate objects.
The X design of the Legare Bookcase looks really good as you approach it from the side, and the V design of the back/spine looks terrific from the front.

The bookcase is a work of art in and of itself: it's beautiful.

I'm able to put heavy oversize books on these shelves, without sagging.
