Eckla Beach Rolly Gear Cart Review

I met a photographer using this cart on a recent trip. given my back problems, I thought it would help me lug my equipment around while doing nature photography.

Pros - construction very good.
Lightweight
Compact when folded
Doubles as a seat(not very comfortable, but you can sit on it)
Really does roll through the sand compared to cheap beach carts.

Cons: Very poor mechanism for unfolding the handle into upright position, you have to fiddle around with two knobs that take a long time to loosen, if you loosen too much they fall off

The optional crossbar that you can strap you equipment to is very heavy, making the whole cart top heavy and prone to fall down. You have to keep some equipment on the seat for "ballast" or it will tip over.

Price when you add accessories is way to high for this low level of technology.

I'm not sure if I would buy this again. Right now there are not many alternatives out there.
