Really awesome, modern design. Was easy to put together and had no difficulties with alignment, hardware, etc... Easily becomes a conversation piece in any room with its unexpected design. I placed mine caddy-corner in my bedroom so that upon entering, you get a view of both "sides." If you arrange it in this way, and have items facing the two perpendicular directions then it immediately prompts people to come over and investigate. This makes it a great starting point for engaging visitors with your book (or knick-knack, memorabilia, etc...) collection. One detail that isn't quite as apparent from the photos is the finish on the laminate. Not only is the color a deep, rich hue but the patterning also gives the piece some visual sense of texture. It's not actually textured, but the color pattern is done so well you have to actually touch it to convince yourself that it's not. All in all, a great piece to have.
