I purchased this microscope to support a recent USAID Farmer-to-Farmer assignment teaching African catfish fingerling production in Nigeria. It was quite effective and affordable for my needs. The camera allowed the entire class to see what was going on (fish eggs hatching) on my computer without the need for everyone lining up to look into the microscope. I am giving it a "5" rating because it performed very well for an inexpensive dissecting microscope; however, I left it behind in Nigeria because this sort of product was very hard to come by there and usually at considerably more expense due to shipping costs to Africa. I am replacing it with another AmScope dissecting microscope, but a 10-20-30-60 scope just because of the size of what I need to look at in the future. I would have preferred a zoom microscope, but these simply cost more and my budget won't justify the convenience. BTW, it travelled quite well in the original shipping container packed into my baggage. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "AmScope 20X-40X-80X Binocular Stereo Dissecting Microscope with 2MP USB Camera" are high quality item.
