I received this desk today and found: 1) The surface of the desk has a bad scratch on the laminate top (see picture); and 2) The shelf under the desk has a dent in it. The dent is in both sides of the shelf but you can only see it on the front side (see picture). This damage was not done in shipping because it was very well packed and there's no evidence of bad handling during shipping. No, this desk was placed in the box in this condition. Whoever is the quality control manager for this company should be fired. I suppose they're seeing how much they can get away with before customers start complaininng. Well, Quality Control Manager, you just found out how far you can go. This customer is complaining and sending pictures to Amazon so the whole world can see the lousy job you're doing.

Beyond this, the desk is very hard to assemble. You're expected to "thread" screws into sheet metal which takes a lot of force and control over the angle of the screws as you're trying to put this thing together. If you're not extremely careful the screw will pitch to an angle and tear the thred you try to screw it in. You have to be very careful and lucky to get it just right. If you try to hard you'll tear up the head of the screw and won't be able to get it either in or out.
