Product Description
FineArt Baryta 325 100% Alpha-Cellulose, ultra-smooth, high gloss FineArt Baryta 325 is a brilliant white, high gloss paper that sets the benchmark for a large color gamut with high image definition and 3-dimensional colour depth. This paper gives the "wow" factor particularly to black and white prints with an extremely high dmax and the finest grey tones. The ultra smooth surface of this genuine art paper base offers a unique "touch and feel" experience - the Hahnemuhle typical 4th dimension. Its premium inkjet coating also offers a very high level of water resistance. Using barium sulphate in the premium inkjet coating ensures the typical gloss that makes this paper a genuine replacement for traditional Baryth papers from analogue laboratories.Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta 325, Ultra Smooth High Gloss, Bright White Inkjet Paper, 325gsm, 13x19", 25 Sheets Review
The surface and texture of this Fine Art Baryta is just infectious. It's a glossier finish (not wet glossy like Canon Photo Paper Pro Platinum) but has this slight texture, almost wood-grain style but very subtle. It makes landscape images and B&W portraits look stunning. The paper is very dense and gives that almost vintage classic look to a print that truly sets it apart from any plain enlargement. I wish I knew about this paper sooner. I've only tested it with my Canon Pixma Pro9500 MKII which is a pigment-ink printer, I haven't used it yet with my Pro-100 which shoots dye-based ink, but the results are so good with the pigment ink I'll probably always use that. This paper is truly unique in it's feel and look, I can't recommend it enough. I am normally torn between the wet gloss of the Canon Platinum Pro and Red River's 60lb Polar Matte for smooth matte finishes, and I also do some watercolor-style prints with Moab's Somerset Velvet, so I thought I had my favorite paper types sorted out. Then this Hahnemuhle Baryta comes along and wins my heart. Actually, Hahnemuhle has TWO papers that have gotten my attention, this FA Baryta and their Hahnemuhle Pearl Photo Rag. Wedding portraits on that Pearl Photo Rag are stunning.
