Feb 14th 2013:I've had it with Endicia. I've just been informed that I have to enter an 'activation code' from the back of their blank stamps in order to print postage, beginning 4 days from now! Unfortunately, I bought 4 rolls of stamps last time I ordered them and none of them have activation codes printed on them. They say that they will issue a temporary activation code, (if I send them a blank stamp and can afford to wait for them to get around to it), but I probably use (at most) 20 of their stamps a month and it will expire long before I've used all of the stamps I own, leaving me with at least $25 of unusable blank stamps. And Endicia did this without any warning and there is no exchange program.
I still love the label printer and scale, but Endicia is a disaster. Nice scale, great address/label printing software from Dymo, but I'm done with Endicia. Rating lowered to 3-stars.
BTW, I switched from Windows to Mac -- you can't use the same account. You have to open a new one.

Sept 2012:
Dymo must have threatened Endicia to fix their problems OR ELSE, because for the past year, I've had no problems whatsoever with updates from Endicia. I still won't buy more than $25 worth of postage at a time, just in case, but I will now recommend this product with 5-stars.

What a time saver this has been. The Dymo LabelWriter hardware (with scale) is invaluable for a small business. The problem is Endicia, the makers of the Dymo Stamps program that prints postage on the Dymo LabelWriter. First off, there is no way to specify a custom postage stamp. Need to add 20-cents for a square envelope and postage for a second ounce? Sorry dude. No can do, unless you want to print 10 2-cent stamps.
But the real problem I have with Endicia is that I just ***CRINGE*** every time I get notified that I have to update Dymo Stamps due to US postage rate changes. Their last two updates have left me unable to print postage. It took about a week to fix it the first problem. This time, I can't even get them to listen to the problem.
You see, we have to access the internet through a proxy server. Mysteriously, the Dymo Stamps program is able to access their postage server (i.e., buy and print postage) through the proxy server settings provided by Windows, no problems. But even more mysteriously, Dymo Stamps is completely unable to check for updates the same way!
SO, every time I launch Dymo Stamps, I have to click "OKAY", (I acknowledge that you cannot access the internet to look for updates), after which I can go and weigh things and print postage... Uh oh! Here comes another postage update, which I have to manually download and install. (Curiously, they provide the download for just such a case.) And, after installing the update, I once again have to click "OKAY" to acknowledge that they cannot access the internet to look for updates. Only this time, they close down the entire program!
I just spent 30 minutes waiting for a SUPPORT to answer my call at Endicia, and another 10 minutes wasting my time trying to explain why "closing the program after unsuccessfully checking for updates is unacceptable behavior." As is typical these days when calling TECH support, you can't just explain the problem, you have to go through their inane checklist. And in the end, all they can recommend is that you uninstall and re-install the program. Gee, thanks.
This is typical of the update process with Dymo Stamps. If you can deal with the down time every time US Postage rates change, by all means this is a pretty good product. As for myself, I'm going to re-install the old program, use up all of the postage in my account, and look for something reliable. 5-stars when everything works. 2-stars due to Endicia.
