Hon Comfortask Task Swivel/Tilt Chair, Clover Review

The chair is easily assembled, it is shipped as two assemblies in one box. The first assembly is the seat and back assembly, the second is the base which includes the hydraulic cylinder. Assembly is very simple, the end of the hydraulic cylinder is simply pressed into the mounting hole located on the bottom of the seat. No tools required. Assembly takes every bit of 2 minutes. The only user adjustments are the seat height, back height, and tilt tension. The cushions are nice and thick with a firm feel. The lumbar support in the backrest is much appreciated. The wheels roll much easier on carpet as compared to my previous chair. However there is a minor issue, my chair arrived with glue spot on the seat upholstery. It looks like glue was either accidently dropped on the seat during packing or the person that packed the chair had glue on his/her hands. Scrubbing the spot with upholstery cleaner has removed approximately 60% of the glue. I deducted a star from my rating due to the soiled upholstery.

Update: HON replaced the seat cushion under warranty. HON's service people are easy to deal with and respond in a timely manner. In summary, HON's warranty and service personnel are excellent.

HP LaserJet 3030 All-in-One Review

In many ways I really like this all in one, it's does great copying, printing, scanning in all ways except that it often prints slightly crooked on the paper, off by a small but noticeable amount. HP tried over the phone to help me resolve this with no success. Since I have other printers, I learned to live with this until the machine died recently. HP sent me a refurbished replacement which after about a year of ownership I was happy to do, they charged $34 for a temporary warranty "uplifting", no problem with that. However, I am sorry to report that this refurbished version has the same page misalignment problem as the last one. Yes, I've checked my power supply, use HP paper and toner, etc. This is just an unfortunate and non-trivial defect for this otherwise fine printer.

GOOD NEWS. Beautifully designed, very functional (but see below), multi-adjustable, powerful LED reading lamp.

BAD NEWS. Over engineered: way too many levels of intensity and lacks a single purpose power switch. One needs to click-click-click-click to get to the highest intensity (the only one I ever use) and then again click-click-click-click to turn if off (or pull the plug).

MORE GOOD NEWS. Responsive and friendly customer support. A newly designed power switch is coming (but that won't fix my problem unless there will be some kind of a trade in/up program).

RECOMMENDATION TO THE MANUFACTURER. Just 2 buttons would suffice: on/off and high/low.

MINOR PROBLEM. It rotates too easily.

After reading reviews on different brand bio-metric safes, I chose the VIKING VS-40BM. This safe is very well constructed, nice powder coat finish and a unique set of keys for back up. I programed several fingers on each hand following the very easy to read instructions and it works flawlessly every time for me. My wife on the other hand has very shallow prints and has to make several attemps to open it with her finger print, but in all fairness its not Vikings fault. This safe is quite roomy with the shelf inside. I keep 4 hand guns, ammo and still have not used the shelf. I would definatly recommend this safe over the other "VAULT" brands, of I own one of.

Solid without being too heavy - it slides around a bit on the tiles, but I suppose that's to be expected. Does the job of saving the floor and the lip isn't too thick so that if you slide off you can't roll back on. The maids thought it should be vacuumed so that gives you an idea of how realistic it appears.
