So far I'm extremely unhappy with this projector. The displaylink is pretty nice, the USB is much more compact than bulky VGA/DVI cables. However, the displaylink install seems to corrupt every single one of our XP laptops; after connecting the projector, they stop being able to play video and DVDs, and it doesn't work even after disconnecting, rebooting, or a system restore. I tried a few and wasted a lot of time before realizing it was the projector, not the DVD software or drivers. There was no prompt to install, it was 100% hidden, so I'm not sure exactly what installed. I guess it hooks into the overlay or VMR surface in such a way that blocks video with some stupid buggy driver, and the available firmware update doesn't fix it. As you can guess this is a total deal-breaker for a sales presentation projector, and with unhappy sales breathing down our necks we've had to reinstall two laptops from scratch (the one bright side is that it's a good time to update to Win7), so after all of the work to get them working, I'm not going to chance connecting the projector again until I have a cloned disk backup.

Otherwise, the focus distance, sharpness, brightness, color fidelity, and the ease of control make it a good laptop on VGA, and it's fairly quiet too. But it made a couple of days hell for me, I wish I hadn't bought it.

I will update the review with further experiences as time goes on, particularly longevity, if it we don't return it for another model. If we do, I'd like to try one of LG's much cheaper, cooler, and long-lived LED models.
