Quartet Platinum Plus Porcelain Whiteboard, 3 x 2 Feet, Aluminum Frame (85263) Review

It arrived undamaged, what a relief. It's surprisingly sturdy. There's nothing flimsy about the the aluminum frame, and the steel backing sheet must help a lot too. I have the 2'x3' size and it seems strong enough to lay flat as a makeshift table, which is a plausible use-case scenario. It would take a fair bit of force to bend or twist it.

It's a very clean, beautiful object with simple, effective design. It looks better in person than in the pictures. The model I got has the plain grey aluminum frame. I recommend getting some cute magnets for it to accessorize. I found some owl magnets and some stunning aluminum pushpin magnets (Magnutz brand) on Amazon that I'm thrilled with.

The tray is attached very firmly and is wide enough to hold plenty of markers, with a nice lip. It seems permanently attached. Just quickly looking it over I can't see any way to remove it, which isn't a problem because I don't expect I'd ever want to.

In my initial testing, the porcelain seems to live up to the hype, erasing very easily, but I'll have to re-evaluate it after using it for at least a year.

Overall, it seems like a perfect product and I'm glad I spent a little extra compared to the melamine ones, but it's actually the first whiteboard I've ever used or owned, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Swingline EX10-06 Cross-Cut Jam Free Shredder, 10 sheets, 1-2 Users (1757392) Review

We bought this shredder because the "Level 3" shreds still had readable fragments in it. We've used this one for about 3 loads now and it's working great so far. The shreds are not readable and effectively impossible to piece together, so very sufficiently secure for any personal use. We try not to put 6 sheets through at once because it makes heavy work of that, and are oiling it as recommended every full bin. When you remove the bin, it's a little tricky to get back in and you have to push on both sides. Overall, the construction of the plastic is a bit flimsy but the mechanism seems to work fine. Much better than my former shredder, where you had to lift the top off.

Brother DSmobile 610 Compact Scanner - Retail Packaging Review

This is the first time I've ever felt strongly enough about a product to write a review, but I want to warn anyone else who might consider purchasing this scanner. Don't do it! I had this scanner packed back into its box and returned within one hour of opening it.

Quite simply, it is impossible to get a good scan of a document with this device. The scanner could not seem to determine when to start "scanning" when it was feeding a document through. Every document I put in scanned with about a 2-inch "black bar" across the top of the PDF page and the bottom cut off completely. Also, every page scanned looked blurry and crooked. It is nearly impossible to feed a sheet through perfectly straight.

This scanner also has a mysterious green button on top that seems to serve no purpose. It is not labeled in any way or even mentioned in the documention (which is only included on the CD; no printed documentation is included).

I traded the Brother for this scanner, which is a little more expensive, but fantastic.

I really like the sleek look to this file cabinet. I'm glad that my husband was here to put it together for me, it was far more complicated than my skills to assemble. The shipping packing from Bush was inappropriately scant, and I did have some damage to the laminate on one piece but it was in a place that could not be seen once assembled, so I did not bother waiting for a new piece to be sent. With no drawer handles you will have fingerprints show up on the finish depending on use and personal hygiene. The size is excellent for my purposes, it is equvilant to 4 portable file boxes. My home office looks far more organized and professional.
